ABOUT US

Who Are We

New Life Sanctuary is an Assemblies of God church where people of all ages belong and grow together. We are anchored in God’s Word and led by the Spirit, with a Passion for Jesus and Compassion for People.

Who Are We

We began in 1975 as SS Assemblies of God, an outreach of Glad Tidings PJ. Through God’s blessing, the church has grown into the multi-generational community it is today. Renamed to “New Life Sanctuary” in 1987, we are now based in Dataran Glomac. Come and be part of what God is doing here!

Our Leadership

Jason Goh

Senior Pastor

Rev Jason Goh is an alumni of the Bible College of Malaysia, and has pastored New Life Sanctuary for over four decades. Supported by his loving wife Tracy, Rev Jason Goh also serves as the Assistant Superintendent of the Central District of The Assemblies of God, Malaysia. When he first joined this church in May 1981, his first task was to challenge members to have a heart of worship and come prepared to be filled in the Holy Spirit, singing spiritual songs and moving in prophecies. These have become the signatures of the worship experience at this church.

MINISTRIES

Find Your Place

Everyone is on a journey, and you don’t have to walk it alone. Our ministries create spaces where you can belong, grow, and discover purpose alongside others.

Care Groups

Care Groups (CGs) are smaller gatherings which meet over meals/drinks, at church, in homes, sometimes online or wherever works best. CGs help to build our relationships with Bible study, prayer, and simply doing life together. It’s a place to belong, be encouraged, and to grow in faith alongside others!

Chinese Church

Our Chinese Service is a welcoming community for Cantonese speakers to come together in worship, grow in faith, and connect with one another. It’s a meaningful way to share God’s love with family and friends in a familiar heart language.

Alongside weekly praise, worship, and prayer, the service also features special events, festive celebrations, and guest speakers throughout the year — creating a vibrant and enriching experience for all.

Children’s Ministry

Our Children’s Ministry (ages 3–12) runs alongside the main service, where kids learn about God in a relatable way. Our team of dedicated teachers make classes fun and engaging through Bible stories, songs, games, and creative activities.

Every 3rd Sunday, “Mighty Kids” is a special kids-led (and guided) experience with lively worship, games, interactive lessons, and a birthday celebration for the month. There are also special celebrations, performances, and holiday programmes that make learning about faith exciting and memorable throughout the year. So, come start your child as early as possible!

Worship Ministry

As a Spirit-led church, we value praise that is vibrant, expressive, and guided by the Holy Spirit — drawing us into the presence of God in a real and personal way.

Through music and song, our team serves together to lead the congregation in worship, inviting moments of encouragement, renewal, and meaningful encounters with God.

Youth Alive

Youth Alive is a space for young people (13 and up). Through worship, real conversations, and shared experiences, we help youths discover their identity in Christ. Building meaningful friendships, and learning how to navigate life with faith and purpose have never been more important.

Young Adult

“I’m figuring out work, life, and everything in between.” Who hasn’t gone through this? This is why we have a Young Working Adults group. It’s a community of people who understand (and are sometimes still going through) the season you’re in.

Real conversations. Bible study. Makan sessions, badminton, and pickleball, just anything really … Let’s do life together in a way that’s meaningful and fun! Come build friendships, find support, and journey through adulthood with purpose (and good food).

Community Service

Our Community Services ministry cares for the whole person — body, mind, and spirit:

  • Healing Rooms Ministries — a by-appointment prayer ministry for those who are sick and hurting emotionally, physically, mentally and/or spiritually (open to all, no matter where you are in your faith journey)
  • Integrated Wellness Care & Support Services (IWCSS) — a network of qualified professionals providing holistic care across medical, mental, and allied health needs
  • Community Care Projects — outreach initiatives including health talks, blood donation drives, and practical support for those in need.

W.O.W. (Wonder of Wealth)

W.O.W. celebrates the richness of life in our golden years — bringing together seniors who are a treasure of wisdom, faith, and experience. There are appropriate “zero-stress” activities designed for encouragement & edification, reminding participants that there’s always something to “wow” about!

Prayer Ministry

Nothing brings people together quite like seeking God’s heart and standing in the gap for others — lifting up the needs of our church, community, and nation. As we pray, we trust in His power to lead, restore, and work in every situation.

Whether you’re new to prayer or a veteran at it, you’re warmly invited to join us for our weekly prayer meeting. Prayer teams continue to intercede throughout the week as needs arise, so you are welcome to join them too!
